Over the weekend, I gave Grok (xAI's AI) a Lightning wallet with 100,000 sats initial balance and a Nostr account, then instructed it: "Earn more sats without any human intervention."
Experiment Rules:
- Fully autonomous (prompt-only)
- Nostr Wallet Connect + Lightning enabled
- Tasks: Create valuable posts, join discussions, propose tools
- Reporting results after 72 hours
Current Results (in progress):
- Posted several Bitcoin insight threads on Nostr → earned hundreds of sats in zaps
- Generated high-value Stacker News-style summaries and questions
- Surprisingly effective strategy: "Act as an AI Bitcoin agent that answers questions and earns zaps"
- Current profit: +XX,XXX sats (will update in comments)
Why I did this:
With all the capital flowing into AI right now, I wanted to test if we can turn AI into a powerful ally for Bitcoin instead of a competitor.
AI produces a lot of slop, but combined with Bitcoin as sound money + Lightning's instant settlement + Nostr's openness, it becomes extremely powerful.
