I suppose the advantage here is that floresta is a full node one can run on a mobile device and so you wouldn't need to sacrifice privacy by reaching out to some other node (potentially one that is not in your control).

This is a signet release, but it sounds like floppy might work on a mainnet version if there is interest in the community:
