pull down to refresh

I got up early to visit an ailing friend up in Morningside Heights. So far not much sign of celebration. I saw one old man on 125th Street near the Apollo sporting a Phoenix Suns Nash jersey. Go figure. Most of the bars in my friend's neighborhood are decidedly world cup oriented.

I saw one older tourist with a Knicks T-shirt.

This place apparently has the best coffee on the block, but no Knicks banners:

Finally, a Knicks banner!

So if we're keeping scores

World Cup 1 x 0 basketball 😆

A sad day. With that attitude, the NBA will make NY wait another 50 years before they win another title.

Where did the partying occur?

reply

Probably closer to midtown near the garden, but I'm not sure.

That looks like a nice walk.

It is. I didn't know this neighborhood at all until friends moved here about two years ago. It's very close to Columbia University.

Just knicked them
