That’s a fair way to put it. Policy can distort incentives for a long time, but technology tends to eventually expose those distortions by changing what’s actually possible or efficient.

I believe we are also going through a major correction, due to both policy and technological changes.

The more interesting part to me is whether this is a monetary phenomenon alone, or also a structural shift in where talent and incentives are actually going.
