Here is yet another way to accept bitcoin lightning payments on your WooCommerce website: AvoPay.

This one relies on AQUA Wallet to allow users to receive payments without running a lightning node. I'm a bit fuzzy on AQUA because I haven't looked in to it, but my understanding is that lightning payments are actually being atomically swapped for liquid UTXOs.

This plugin allows you to receive lightning payments but you would be holding them as LBTC on Liquid.

For now they are offering the API for free, but it looks like they have plans to introduce billing eventually.

If Liquid isn't your thing, there are a number of other ways to receive lightning payments in WooCommerce:

I've used the CoinOS plugin (custodial) and the Glow Pay plugin as well as the BTCPay Server plugin, with success in all cases, although I will admit the payserver plugin was the most complicated (also probably the most self-sovereign).

Another one bookmarked for our upcoming TM7's ~AGORA Marketplace update

This will be also useful for the list of payment gateways for businesses and merchants I'm working on

Somebody putting it all together would be very useful. There's a lot of tools that have made it much easier for merchants to accept bitcoin online, but they're scattered all over the place.
