This is related to the proposal to do onchain zaps via turning nostr pubkeys into permanent bitcoin (reusable) addresses.

Certainly makes me feel uneasy. But, it's also true that you can more or less see the same list on SN (except, it's possible to exclude yourself via "hide me from top stackers" in your settings).

What is this based upon? Lifetime zaps received?

reply

No, I believe this is people who have had onchain bitcoin sent to an address derived from their npub.

(I could be wrong about this, but if it's lifetime zaps the numbers would be higher)

reply

It should be possible to use an address you've generated in joinmarket or wasabi, then just turn it on or forget about it

reply

It would be good if Wasabi had the ability to import an arbitrary private key to coinjoin.

I'm pretty sure joinmarket at least used to have that ability, as it used Bitcoin Core. But it's a moot point anyway as development on joinmarket has stopped.

reply

Couldnt you technically have a private key you generated elsewhere... Then 'import' it into wasabi by typing it in, typing in the 12 words?

Is there any way to convert a nostr private key into 12 words and import that?

Also... I have read that a new implementation of joinmarket is being worked on. Is that correct? This is really needed as I don't 100% trust the wasabi coordinator model.

Thanks
