This is a fair counter to Levy, but someone in Apple should be thinking about what AI mobile devices might look like. They crushed the iPod/iPhone because they spent years doing R&D in that category. Apple has a history of changing the device game so that's what people expect with AI. But dedicated consumer AI devices seem more nascent than portable music players were pre-iPod.
I agree with his prediction that people will still be using phones as the main way to interact with the world, even if giving verbal commands to a very capable concierge service. Or the watch maybe, but people will still be carrying phones everywhere
