I think normies, even conservative normies, just don't see the big picture on these things.
I'm pretty involved in my church's college ministry. Pretty wide range of students from UCLA/USC. I'd say 50+% of the students have plans to go into some kind of healthcare. About 30% some kind of science or engineering. The rest, some kind of business: finance, accounting, etc.
Zero interest in law, politics, or economics (in the broader sense). If the only people going into law and politics are progressive radicals, it's no wonder our state is becoming what it's becoming.
