I haven't read it, but Angel Down has gotten some great reviews and word of mouth, and was already one I'd wanted to check out. But a genre novel actually taking the prize is rare. McCarthy did it with The Road, but that's literary SF by anyone's standards. Ditto Whitehead's Underground Railroad, the only other one I can think of.

Didn't know about this one (because I live in a Bitcoin shaped hole). Sounds interesting.

"Angel Down" sounds like it has an interesting premise, will put it on my reading list

Based on the description this feels more like ambitious literary speculative fiction than straight fantasy, but still, massive for any genre novel to take it.
