Look at the resolution criteria. If she doesn't prove otherwise, it resolves to Yes.

Assuming Lynn has better things to do, this is free money.

reply

Good point! I was thinking it would never resolve

reply

I still don't feel great about taking part in it

reply

Yeah it has an ick feel to it!

somehow blue caught up a bit

it started with red being pretty dominant

reply

It would be interesting if the poll ended in a tie, since we don't know what would happen in that case. ahahaha

@k00b, is it intentional that the poll count shows up when you're on anon? Wouldn't it make more sense to keep it hidden?

Coin of the Day:

“Dad, hurry up!” my son exclaimed urgently, beckoning me to leave the house. Today was the day on which he would be greeted by the school’s ant colony for the first time. He was very eager to pluck the head of a cricket and feed the ants with its body.

My son has always had a keen interest in Science. Most parents want their children to be doctors or surgeons. For children who prefer to be on the move, their parents may want them to be paramedics so that they can help people at the scene of accidents. Parents whose children have an empathetic side will want their children to be nurses.

“What happens if my son wants to be an ant specialist?” this intriguing thought suddenly came to my mind. Already, young people who aspire to become vets must pursue veterinary degrees in overseas countries. If my son were to sustain his passion for ants, who knows which path he would have to undertake in the future.

reply

My daughter loves science to. She gets upset whenever they don't have a science lesson in school.

She's already made up her mind about being a paleontologist when she grows up, which would be a pretty sweet job.

reply

Like Ross from Friends!

My son just emerged from his dinosaur phase. Who knows, he might get sucked back into it again.

Is the paleontology industry a viable one? Are there still bones to be found?

reply

There are still lots of bones to be found, but I doubt it's a lucrative profession. I'm also not sure how much that should matter if it really is your passion.
