This is not exactly a hard-hitting interview. Isabel Foxen-Duke is a little too eager to be on Potter's side (perhaps because Potter doesn't agree to many interviews, there was a sense that he wouldn't respond to probing questions). But there were a few new interesting details I caught.
Most notably, Potter explains that he came up with the name Tether and that because Bitfinex didn't have the resources at the time, they pretty much gave the idea to Brock Pierce, Craig Sellers, and Reeve Collins to build. But then those guys launched Real Coin instead, and let the Tether idea languish, so Bitfinex bought it back from them for the cost of what they had sunk into it. I would love to get a second version of this story, but it is one of the data points I had never found conclusive evidence for.
Worth the listen if you are find Tether interesting.
