I shipped a small but important update to BOLT12 Pay.

One of the biggest setup gotchas is that BOLT12 via LNDK requires onion messaging support in LND. If that is missing, users can end up confused because the app UI works, but BOLT12 Offers do not.

So I added:

• clearer Umbrel store docs
• better setup instructions
• a setup warning directly inside the app
• the exact Umbrel lnd.conf path users need to edit

This is not a flashy feature, but it should make BOLT12 onboarding on Umbrel much smoother.

BOLT12 Pay is my self-hosted Lightning payment and identity server project with:

• BOLT12 Offers
• Lightning Address / LNURL
• BOLT11 fallback
• Nostr identity support

UX and reliability matter a lot if we want BOLT12 to be usable outside a tiny technical niche.
