her bringing this up surprised me not a little because i have never mentioned it to her there's no reason she should think i do. owing to what happened last week you can figure this gave me pause. i didn't mention anything to her about someone turning the dryer circuit back on while i was working on the plug. most people here seemed to be that i was dreaming of things.

well now here she is asking me about bitcoin and if i have any.

i decided to tell her the truth or most of it some of it. i told her that i did have bitcoin and that it was worth a nice amount. she wanted a number so i told her i had 42.5 bitcoins. i figured it was a number that was big enough to satisfy her curiosity and that she'd be happy with and not ask if i had more. i explained that i was saving it for our retirement. it was a bit of shock to her. i don't think it has really registered yet. but she seems okay with the plan to not touch it till i quit working.

my real aim in all this was to figure out why she suddenly asked me about it.

i met anna after my first wife died. we had been together a little over twenty years. it is a weird thing getting close to someone new and i didn't know how to tell anna about the bitcoins. there's a number of things that never came up, just like i don't doubt she has things she hasn't told me. it isn't a lack of trust just at this point in life there is enough living that you have done and it doesn't seem necessary to bring it all out.

anna is good to me. she is not a fancy woman and i can't believe she would ever do something like this. but when i asked her what made her think about bitcoins she said it was just that she heard a story on the radio. now i'm feeling awful because she must have heard about bitcoin a thousand times before now. why is she bringing this up right after this thing i'm pretty sure someone tried to kill me?
