But note that it's a phone chip, not a laptop chip, so you better like long coffee breaks, because you'll be taking a lot of these when it will compile your app.

I still have a dream of creating an SN iOS app and it appears I will need a MacBook to do this.

How much RAM will I need to hopefully complete my goal some day?

(I used replit last night and it pushed some Xcode files to my GitHub now I am trying to take the next steps in this journey)

Hmm.. Could work with 8 but its not a lot. If you already have a laptop and are not going to carry this around, I'd get a 16GB Mac Mini. That answer is also in that link.
