So I was on the road at a meeting most of today for work and, after it ended and on my lunch break I happened to notice a thrift shop right near my location. Being that I regularly hunt for thrift "treasures" to then sell online for 200 - 1000% more, I dropped in and looked around for a few books. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed behind the premium stuff a, believe or not, metal detector poking out. This wasn't a top grade unit; it turned out to be the same one I use, a basic intro level Bounty Hunter Tracker IV. I checked the condition, confirmed everything was in working order and walked out with a working detector for $25. These normally retail for at least $80 on Amazon when new.
Now I have two units, one of which I can just leave in my truck and have handy as I'm driving around and the other newer one for specific trips or use when I travel. Not bad for a thrift find.
Now you have 2x chance to find a treasure, but this treasure has to be $25 more expensive to cover your expenses
p.s drop the foto of your detector next time
