Undisciplined and GrayRuby talk Stacker News, Predyx, the magic of Zambonis, Canadian comedy tv and some sports

I blame @k00b's late newsletter for the derailment.

We did get to some fantasy baseball draft strategy and a little chat about what exactly championships tell us about the champions, amongst other sports stuff.

Did you guys see the freed Kuminga? Man, it's so great to see talent being able to shine.

reply

No, but I'll make a point of checking in on the Hawks soon.

reply

They’ve won 4 in a row. Our Raptors vs Hawks market might not be certain yet. Raps still looking good though.

Undefeated as a Hawk so far and posting up good numbers. Good to see him on the court dunking on people instead of being benched.

reply

Haven’t seen him post GS.

Do you guys have any interest in a dynasty NFL fantasy league? Apparently I’m experiencing NFL withdrawals and this seemed potentially interesting

reply

Very much so. We didn't do it before because we didn't know how much sustained fantasy interest there would be.

reply

Nice. I guess you’d start it at the same time as one-off leagues in August?

reply

I have no idea. @Public_N_M_E, do you want to switch to dynasty style?

reply

With the roster I got 🤣🤣🤣 not without a proper dynasty start up draft. That's a whole different style of drafting to redraft

reply

I would also insist on that

reply

We can do both.

reply
reply

Yeah, we can do. It'd be easier to do the dynasty start up after the draft to account for rookies.

reply

We could do the regular seasonal league but also do a dynasty league. I am game.

reply

Yeah! Could be fun!

reply

Speaking of fantasy baseball.

@NEEDcreations send me an invoice for the buy in.

I can send you an invoice later or you can just pay my LN address needcreations@strike.me

I enjoy watching game trackers too. I mostly got into it with sports betting and fantasy, where I have interest in a game that I can’t watch on tv, or I just have other life obligations that take priority.

I remember watching a tracker for an NBA game, wolves I think, where every app just stopped updating. Comment sections were going nuts. Turns out they all use the same underlying feed and it died in the third quarter. Eventually it caught up, one play at a time, but the live game had already ended

reply

Was that weather related? I remember there being a game a while ago where the tv feed went down and the trackers had nothing either.

reply

I thought there were some tweets just suggesting the score system that published events went down, but I don’t remember for sure
