First of all I just want to say I enjoy @Solomonsatoshi 's questions. Maybe some of us aren't doing enough to "attach a wallet" myself included. Now to be honest I don't think that's the case, I think the Stackers are doing a fabulous job, are really bringing Bitcoin to the forefront of a new kind of website.
And a better one.
We have amazing discussions on Stacker News, we are frankly a small community and while we often disagree with one another we respect there is a place for discussion and disagreement with money "as the moderator" and it's great.

It is not only a model for a different type of website, it is THE model for how Bitcoin the Money can touch billions of lives and reshape social media, art, literature, and frank discussion on everything from politics to aliens to space to new technologies.
TODAY Stacker News is a smallish website, known to relatively few but I believe it won't be that way forever.
I do not see any credible risk to attaching and using coinos to enable maximizing your use of sats and LN and helping in a real way to strengthen the LN and SNs.

Because one day the government will come for us and for places like Stacker News. TODAY they don't care but if models like Stacker News got REALLY BIG... the governments could freak the fuck out they do not want Bitcoin circular economics like we are credibly building.
Imagine a world where billions of people, sometimes through intermediaries, sometimes on their own nodes use Bitcoin as a medium exchange to filter ideas, make new relationships, and learn things they had never thought possible.
I agree with @Solomonsatoshi I have learned far more from Stacker News than I "have paid." But the world may not be ready yet for Bitcoin the Currency of the Internet.
Perhaps people who are not up front and honest struggle to understand the truth when it is presented. Deception of others only ends up creating a fog around yourself. Oh and yes CoinOS occasionally does not work- but the more we use it it gets stronger. The same with the LN.
There are a lot of people who are bitter about Bitcoin because they don't understand it, people who are easily misled, propagandized about the inevitably of FIAT... Bitcoin changes ALL of that.
Stacker News is just the greatest example.
If you want 100% reliability then like @DarthCoin just use CCs.
The 1st 15 years of Bitcoin it became a Store of Value. Starting today it becomes a Medium of Exchange be prepared for Stacker New's posts to be archived.

This is such a dumb campaign that he’s on. What possible reason can he have to be upset with my setup, for example? Everyone who wants to receive sats from me does and I spend enough here that I never have many cowboy credits. There are perfectly good reasons not to run every zap over LN.
All that said, I’m glad he’s doing it and putting his sats where his mouth is. “Money is the moderator” means that everyone gets to imprint their own dumb preferences on SN and we will be better off for it.

The amount I am spending to highlight your hypocrisy is insignificant in the scheme of things.
I pay far more in property taxes on a daily basis and I cannot yet pay property taxes in sats.
Property taxes are an investment - they fund the infrastructure and services that increase the value of my properties- likewise spending sats here on SNs via LN is an investment in the V4V P2P sats denominated social media experiment that is SNs.
Bitcoin will only succeed if peoples rhetoric is matched by action.
Attaching and showing attached wallets is one easy way to maximise your investment in and support for the LN and SNs.

Attaching and showing attached wallets is both maximising your use of sats and LN and shows all other users that you are serious about using Bitcoin and supporting the growth and strength of the LN.
The vast majority of regular users here have already attached and show they have attached wallets.
It is not difficult but it is something most of us can do that will have a positive and constructive effect.
To know if I, or anyone else, have or not an attached wallet is not your business.

Already Rumble is incorporating Bitcoin tipping on their platform - it's on-chain which is dumb but at least they are doing it.
