Here’s a more casual, human, and friendly version while keeping everything clear and respectful:

Hi Geyser Team,

Hope you’re all doing well 👋

As I’ve mentioned a couple of times on SN, we’re currently running a project on Geyser:
https://geyser.fund/project/bitcoinstudyhubs

I recently came across the new All-Or-Nothing campaign mode and it really resonated with me. The idea of setting a clear goal, locking funds until it’s reached, and refunding contributors if it isn’t feels like a great way to build trust, focus momentum, and make sure projects don’t end up half-funded.

From what you’ve shared, AoN seems especially designed to:

  • Give contributors more confidence by holding funds in smart contracts until goals are met
  • Help creators test ideas without the risk of underfunding
  • Create urgency and momentum around time-bound goals, especially for projects that need a minimum amount to truly work

Given that, I wanted to ask @Geyser if it’s possible to move an already running project into the All-Or-Nothing mode.

Specifically, I’m curious about:

  1. Whether existing campaigns can be converted to AoN, and how that would work
  2. Any technical or timing considerations when switching a live project
  3. What happens to contributions that have already been made
  4. Any docs or next steps you’d recommend if this is possible

Thanks a lot for your time. I’m really excited about what AoN enables and would love to see if it’s a good fit for Bitcoin Study Hubs.

This is awesome 👍. Keep up the good work!

Hey, thanks for sharing this!

Let me go through your questions.

  1. Whether existing campaigns can be converted to AoN, and how that would work

No. You cannot migrate an existing project, you will need to create a new All or Nothing campaign.

  1. Any technical or timing considerations when switching a live project

Think carefully about the goal amount. One way of thinking about it is: "Would I be upset if I had to give back X amount if i did not reach the goal? And, what is the amount that i need at minimum to make this happen?"

  1. What happens to contributions that have already been made

Contributions made to your non-AON project have been settled.

  1. Any docs or next steps you’d recommend if this is possible

Here is an explainer of what is AON for, and why we built it. https://about.geyser.fund/blog/all-or-nothing-on-bitcoin

We'll be releasing demos and explainers, hope this helps!

You can easily launch an AON here: https://geyser.fund/launch
