Inequality is a pointless thing to care about.
If standards of living are rising, especially for lower income groups, that’s a good thing. Just focus on how to get more of that.
What if peoples' utility is conditioned on what their neighbors have?

Sucks for them. Envy is an insidious vice and shouldn’t be catered to.
