Indeed. Immigration does present a cultural problem that has led to more divisive cultural clashes. But as far as market forces, the US needs people.
The actual root issue IMO is not immigration. It's the social welfare system that incentivizes us productive lifestyles for those native to the US. It has harmed our culture and communities. Created dependency and resentment. Trump tapped into the resentment thing very well. It's not new. The left ignores it and calls it racism but that is an oversimplification as usual by them, used for effect.
We don't need criminals, especially violent criminals.
We don't need unconstitutional sanctuary states that protect criminals and help them escape punishment and ICE.
USA has 330 million people. We don't need more people unless the goal is to emulate India, H1B visas not withstanding

No one wants criminals but what about those hard working immigrants who had more value to American economy then the fat sick lazy Americans always looking for a handout?
