THIS IS A FUCKING LIE! You are not spending sats, you are spending fiat! Those cards are nothing else than another fiat scam.

If you go to a merchant with a VISA cars, that merchant will NEVER adopt Bitcoin because it will continue to accept VISA cards.

Guys, please stop this madness !

You have this backwards. Merchants pay 2-3% per transaction to accept VISA and other credit cards, whereas they could be paying 0% for accepting bitcoin. The incentive is there for merchants to accept bitcoin.

However, it is the opposite for purchasers. For example, with my prepaid VISA, I get 1% of every purchase back in bitcoin (taken out of the merchant fees I'm sure), so why would I spend my bitcoin when I could be earning bitcoin instead, for the same price?To "support the network", I guess -- and in fact, when I am in a rare place that accepts bitcoin, I use it, just for the novelty of it, but this is besides the point of my reply.

For larger purchases, credit card users often get purchase insurance, in addition to travel points, etc.. These benefits are paid, in large part, by the merchant fees.

There are no merchants within 100km of where I live who accept bitcoin, but if there were, I would be a customer. So instead, I buy bitcoin via my rewards card with every single purchase I make.

You are correct about one thing: my focus is not "to destroy fiat". That is childish and inane. I want bitcoin to succeed, I have skin in the game, and I dedicate probably more time than I should to it. For example, I am here.
