Eleanor is an amazing reporter for crypto policy on The Hill! She approaches the topics really well and has really nailed down the relationships with aides for both sides and chambers. I often check what I hear or see to see if she has reported on it given how she breaks so many things!
Yeah we are up over 200 million gallons they think. I am not sure if they have made any progress since the storm hit. Thankfully the break was below (down river) from where DC gets its drinking water.... that would have caused idk what wild chaos but a complete shit show (lol)
Did you happen to run across the number of animals that might be being used for say medical research of some sort of disease in dogs compared to the ones used for other ones like exposing them to chemicals?
Not my best wording but I figure there is experimentation that is causing pain and suck but are developing say better treatments for cancer in Golden Retrievers compared to the Texas A&M Golden Retriever breeding program that was shut down ~5 years ago where dogs were bred to develop different types of muscular dystrophy, including Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a particularly severe form that causes muscle wasting and weakness.
The A&M program was pretty bad and a PR nightmare even through it was a government funded research program.
Lol I made the early morning trek in. The Senate might make a real mess of stopping a partial government shutdown from occurring and that blows my mind. If it was the House that would make a ton of sense since the House is a dumpster fire floating down a river but the Senate for the second time in a row now might screw up government funding.
I mean everywhere it is blowing up at crazy rates. I will give China credit they have done a lot I am not sure if this changes to much for them though because of the sheer number they need and the processes that have to be done from the US and Chinese government.

My mom was a public school teacher at the time and they had rolled out the TV's for the kids to watch the launch. Through work I learned a lot about this tragedy and Columbia. Knowing that they survived the solid rocket booster blowing up only to most likely have died hitting the ocean is sickening.

It’s just hilarious how far off you can be. I mean it shows that you don’t look at the sources because you would know that Trump is huge in geothermal AND nuclear. He sends natural gas to the rest of the world who wants it. Gas plants were a big thing in the US (like they were everywhere) until the wait time went until the 2030’s.
Hell Texas continues to lead the US in Solar and Battery Storage. That’s prime oil country.
