Given that my wife hails from Kumamoto Prefecture, which is the illustrator, Eiichiro’s hometown, i feel like i am predisposed to like One Piece. So, i make an effort to visit the life-sized sculptures depicting notable One Piece characters in Kumamoto. I also joined the One Piece run many years ago.

My kids and I have a routine: whenever my wife goes on a work trip we watch one piece every night. We're working our way through from the beginning, maybe half way now? Great fun!
I didn't know about the run or the lifesize statues. Sounds like it would be really fun to visit.
anime version or live action version?
anime. I didn't care too much for the live action version and thought I'd watch the anime with the kids. It's also pretty awesome that there are >1000 episodes of the anime!

I see it everywhere I went from being curious to no longer feel like watching it ever hahaha but I’m glad it brings people together in so many ways from what I’m reading in the comments. Putting it that way it sure looks like fun!

i actually haven’t watched kaiju yet. I’m more of a Spy Family person haha
I started enjoying it after it was recommended to me on Netflix; honestly, it makes me feel like a kid watching cartoons again—or seeing a live-action version of a man who shares my sense of humor, spirit, euphoria, and outlook on life, but in cartoon form. I didn't know there was a museum; I’d give anything to visit it.
not exactly a museum. just ten open-air statues located all over Kumamoto
There is a specialty goods store for One Piece though. I enjoyed myself immensely. Let me find the photos I took during that time

I've always been more of a "Dragon Ball" fan 🐲
But my oldest son was fascinated by the two seasons available on Netflix.
And because of that, a couple of weeks ago I gave him a "One Piece" book, starting from the beginning of the story.
Here in Peru, there are many fans of manga and Japanese series.

I’ve never been to the One Piece Run, but those statues in Kumamoto look awesome. Definitely adding this to my list if I ever make it to Japan.
