Yeah this is a fascinating story. I'd love to know what kind of work they actually do that the gaming skills are easily transferable to.
Mainly tracking blips on a screen that represent planes and projecting their paths of travel as well as altitude to avoid conflicts. Much of it is supposed to be automated, such as two vessels being within proximity to each other, but a human still has to be the response point, especially around and going in and out of airports. This was the primary issue when the military helicopter and plane crashed in Washington DC back in early 2025.
