Rightful paranoia, that's where HWW energy should be directed. Only use the drive on the air gapped computer, tuck it away like you would the HWW. Also the content to disc would be the encrypted, Core does this by default iirc.

I love mdisc. But I don't know if I cant trust the mdisc drives or mdisc burners from hardware manufacturers. It's not that they're 'malicious' but after I burn the data to mdisc what do I do with the burner. That's what I don't know and I'm not sure exactly where to research that.
