CompletionCompletion

Screen printing class wrapped up this week. What do I have to show for it? Well, I have 2 series of the same print, one in warm colors, the other in cool colors. And through the struggle of deciding what to print on a t shirt, I did complete one to my satisfaction.

The image comes from Julian Peters illustration of my favorite T.S. Eliot poem.

It took seven weeks for those in my class and I to become chatty with each other. I learned about a fellow classmate's poetry lover mother. Another's comedy club boyfriend. The ideas we brought in could not have been more different. And everyone, rightly, stayed in their lane. It wasn't collaborative, but it was companionable in the end.

I haven't got much else to say about it.

OrchidsOrchids

I dropped in for the annual Orchid Show at the botanical gardens in my city. Because, you know, why not?

Wouldn't you like to see the show stoppers?

Yeah, pretty dang cool.

That wraps this blog series, wasn't it a great time? I can admit, I've really lost steam, and I am ashamed of that. If nothing else, my screen printing class was a good excuse to get words out.

I am going to make custom t shirts though, and don't you forget it.

I'm curious about your T-shirt plans.

Also, thanks for writing this series. I didn't know anything about screen printing before (I had no idea it was so hands on). Now I have a little sense of what is involved.

The world is so cool!
