I couldn't even get some text fountain that claimed to be human to do independent code review for 0.2 BTC
Independent code review is about the hardest job there is, so I'm not surprised. I'd offer help but I don't Lisp.
why do you think the cost of dishing out slop is so high?
Because I include the time it costs for the person to operate the bot (but exclude opportunity cost because I feel that that cannot be generalized; as the total potential value of spending my own time too varies over time, and I am assuming that this is the same for everyone.)
PS: why am I unmuted or are you replying to someone you muted? I have not changed. I cannot possibly deserve unmute.

I use mute more as a "postpone comments" and end up reading most of the comments anyway.
Recently I've begun making more effort to review the muted list and unmute people from whom I might expect notifications. In my first few cowboy streaks I muted lots of people before I realized that SN auto-subscribes you to more than only direct replies.

I didn't lie; the ten minute editing timer has forced me to compromise upon my standards of accuracy...
the idea of paying someone who claimed Common Lisp literacy and produced endless blobs of English AST on IRC for code review was from summer 2020

0.2 BTC[1] around 2021 ... and honestly, I suspect the dealbreaker was that the childish webmaster wanted to get paid for producing code rather than comments!why do you think the cost of dishing out slop is so high? have you not realised anyone can vibe out anyslop using a free github account, which now includes their codebase-drinking AI with forced amnesia from the free tier?
in case
you'reanyone's curious, the proposed contract's first draft was published and the hopeful reviewer immediately requested exclusivity... who knows, maybe the dealbreaker was actually my infamy, and some IRC rando simply wanted to yank my chain for a few days. ↩
