By this reasoning, it will take a war to put an end to America's war machine, since Americans vote for the peace candidate almost every time and only ever get more war.

What would happen if they voted for the war candidate instead?

reply

Bush's 2nd term

So... Basically the same?

But with more accurate advertising

reply

The pretend peace candidate

reply

They're all pretend

This is how 90% Americans think and feel the neocons and uniparty constantly find votes to fund trillion dollar war budgets but fight over nickels and dimes when it comes to other government programs.

This war is an absolute joke. The British should help Iran with their revolution not American soldiers.

reply

Why the British? their love affair with Arabs will only hurt them in Iran

Lawrence of Arabia helped Arabia not Persia

reply

You do realize that you enjoy the comforts of your western lifestyle due to the existence of this war machine, yes? The war machine didn't arise following the petrodollar establishment, nor in the aftermath of WW2 - it's been around since time immemorial. The very land the house you live in was built on was violently seized by European invaders sent as agents by an imperial war machine, from natives who themselves were heavily enmeshed in a warrior culture

reply

Nothing about that means I'm obliged to want it to continue or that the world is better because of it.

reply

US power wealth and petrodollar hegemony are based upon its ability to project military aggression.

The infantile idea that USA is a great capitalist state is nonsense- USA is today a rogue state led by Trump and his oligarchs repeatedly breaking international law to promote and preserve its global resource hegemony - because it cannot compete with Chinas industrial productive capacity.

I mean look who really thought with Trumps track record he was a peace candidate? He literally blew one of Irans most senior and critical generals to pieces. He tripled the strikes in Yemen and Somalia like he wasn’t to peaceful.

What he did and has done is not put or keep boots on the ground. Under Trump though air strikes are a huge thing. I don’t think anyone saw Biden as a peace candidate and Obama ran on “Change” what that was turns out to be reporter en chief. Clinton and Reagan they didn’t run on peace platforms at all.
