Yesterday I met up with a new group of acquaintances. It was quite curious; it had been a while since I'd chatted with new people.
This was a group where most were younger than me, yet they were all adults.
It was rather awkward to a certain extent because everyone's conversation topics were quite empty. Some talked about shoes, others about clothes, still others about video games and past adventures.
I interacted as much as I could, but my mind kept going on with only one thing: "Bitcoin." And seeing how all these people were talking about nonsense or things that mostly just led to spending and wasting time...
I remained silent most of the time 🤫 remembering one of the most important rules: "No talking about Fight Club."
Just observing how all these kids live immersed in another world.
And when the topic of money came up, it was funny because everyone's mind is completely programmed to the fiat currency world. Although maybe one or two had a clearer understanding, none of them really knew what money was or how it worked. In Venezuela, when people talk about money, everyone's mind is programmed the same way (dollars, bolivars, dollars again, and someone or two mentions USDT). I remained silent and only offered the occasional opinion. But if no one mentions Bitcoin, I won't be the one to do it, and if someone does, maybe I'll give my opinion, but it won't be to say that I own any of it or know anything about it. I'll probably just say something random, like the things I usually read on Twitter.
This kind of situation only strengthens my Bitcoiner mindset because we're already close to mining the block that will release the 20 millionth bitcoin in circulation. And the average person still doesn't know or understand what it's all about. This leaves those of us who already know about its existence with greater room to maneuver, allowing us to quietly accumulate many more SATS without making much noise about what we're doing.
And while the world keeps turning and everyone keeps chasing after papers issued by the current government,
we will continue accumulating more SATS, studying Bitcoin, money, and the rotten system we live in. So we can continue growing and advancing thanks to the most versatile and powerful monetary tool that has ever existed. (Bitcoin) 🟠⚡
