Hell of an AAV for a relief pitcher…. Just takes one arm injury to blow up a three year deal like this…. If anyone could afford it thought it would be the Dodgers…. This new CBA is going to be interesting for them….

I am surprised he only signed for 3 years. Thought for sure he would get at least 4 and maybe even 5. Matters not. Dodgers aren't three-peating.

Three years puts him out at 34 so more than enough for another multi year deal… I don’t think he was going to get 100+ mil over 6 years so he went with the high AAV now

Makes sense. I am sure someone would have offered a fourth year but not at 23M a year.
