I've also been using bitwarden for years and recommend it to everyone. No complaints!

I really hope places will start accepting Bitcoin over lightning so we don't need these kind of things happening anymore
Unless bisq supports lightning, I'll stick with robosats for the time being.

I think running your own Bitcoin node is more similar to having your own email server. While accepting keeping your own keys is a hurdle for most people, it's not because people can't understand how to do it. It's solely based on fear of losing said keys.
